Мо оглянулся по сторонам, встречаясь с серыми глазами, которые долго и недвусмысленно его поедали. В каждом офисе бывают идолы, плейбои, главари банды — похоже, этот был полный боекомплект. Безбожно красивый чувак стоял с приятелем, изучая Мо своими жуткими вампирскими глазами. Жилы на его лице дернулись, когда он затянулся сигаретой прямо посреди офиса, выпуская дым в его сторону.

He must love that someone lived in terror, every second of every day, because of him. Never forgetting the real, unbelievable scope of how dangerous he was. He loved it so much that he made his witness immortal alongside him.

That is the night that Mo learns he isn't a beta like he'd always assumed. That's the night She Li's obsession takes a new, terrible turn. That's the night he decides to stop beating around the bush with He Tian, and instead rely on the alpha (but only a little, and just for now!)
