It seemed She Li enjoyed having an audience. Mo Guan Shan had to be sacrificed so that someone would know what he was, fully, outside of his mask. He must love that someone lived in terror, every second of every day, because of him. Never forgetting the real, unbelievable scope of how dangerous he was. He loved it so much that he made his witness immortal alongside him.

That is the night that Mo learns he isn't a beta like he'd always assumed. That's the night She Li's obsession takes a new, terrible turn.
