“If you are familiar with the world of D-1 volleyball, chances are you’ve heard the names Hinata Shouyou and Kageyama Tobio. Both twenty-four-year-old athletes are famous for their skill and athletic prowess, but they’ve recently become household names for their intense rivalry.
Early this year, Hinata Shouyou signed onto the MSBY Black Jackals as a wing spiker after a two-year stint in Brazil, playing beach volleyball. He was an unknown in the V-League, but he quickly proved himself with his defensive skill and incredible jumping height and speed.
It wasn’t until the fateful Schweiden Adlers vs. MSBY Black Jackals match just yesterday that viewers came to the realization that Hinata Shouyou was the long-awaited rival of Kageyama Tobio.”

“Kageyama Tobio?” The other man at the front desk asked dubiously. “I mean, we’ll give it to him,” Shallot-head started slowly. “But I can’t promise he’s gonna want it…”
Dr. Kageyama Tobio is a major grouch who’s bad with people. It’s no wonder no one in the whole building believes he’s married to sunshine incarnate.

Hinata struggles at first, confused and thinking Kageyama's making fun of him or something, but he slowly starts to realize that, beyond all belief, Kageyama is the Doting type.

Sora looks away, thick lashes falling to hide blue irises, and Riku feels his heart lurch at the expression, tentative and small, which clings to the corners of Sora’s lips as he tugs on them with his teeth.

The door was closing, and now it seemed Sora couldn't stop it even if he wanted to, which – he realized with a start, far too late – he did. Sora met Riku’s eyes. Now, his smile was serene, resigned even. Sora wanted so badly to reach his hand and somehow pull him back through but–
“Sora,” Riku said, the final inches of space between the doors diminishing, “I love you.” His last syllable barely escaped the space they could see each other through; the smallest slit.
And Sora’s whole entire world ground to a halt.

There's almost a 90% chance that it will be some 17 year old freshman and he does NOT have time to babysit some kid right now. He needs this new roommate to know exactly who's boss!
But all of Riku's bravado disappears when his new roommate turns out to be an old friend.

1) Riku is Sora’s best friend
2) Riku is stronger, faster, and wiser than Sora. He is older, after all.
3) Sora is definitely the most dense person on the islands
4) Sora is in love with Kairi (and definitely didn’t realize that Kairi loved him back, see fact #3)
5) Sora is an orphan.Then Riku opened a door, and found that all of his facts were wrong.
