Keith could feel his glamor flickering. There were sounds of a fight, but they sounded far away. He went limp in the hold on him, his vision tunneling. Keith could hear the pained grunts of the Paladins as they were subdued.
“Prince Lotor wants his pet returned to him. It's been far too long.”
Hands pried his mouth open, a foul liquid dumped down his throat. The familiar taste had his eyes widening, pupils slitting.
Damn this, and damn them .
He let his glamor slip, the furious roar that tore from his throat shook the forest.
Keith was not going back there, and he would die fighting for his freedom.

Summary
At the funeral for a fellow member of the Order of the Knights Dragoon, one of the dragoons confronts Estinien about his apparent lack of care for the death of one of their own. What they don't understand is that Estinien cares immensely, but is unable to show it due to the threat of Nidhogg taking advantage of his display of emotions. Unfortunately, the dragoon continues to press Estinien until he reaches his breaking point.

Our dragoon has only just left to return to you. I believe he meant to tell me about you, but as usual his words were hopelessly locked behind his teeth. Truly, he cannot bear to expose his tender heart. However, it assured me he has not an inkling of our plan. I do not envy your task of telling him of your impending trip, however I find myself eager to see the look on his face when all is revealed. Your accommodations are well prepared and I look forward to finally meeting you face to face this Heavensturn, not to mention the revelries I feel sure will follow.
