Summary
A modern girl dies and is reborn as Jocelyn Stark as she’s plagued with dreams of dragons and books and buildings made of glass that are higher than castles and the undead rising again. Those in the south would call it a type of madness that she needs to be burned for, while the North would call her a greenseer. An urge to visit the Tourney of Ashford leaves her to meet Daeron Targaryen, son of Maekar, also known as Daeron the Drunken and an unlikely friendship is struck. Many things change but many things stay the same as well.
Jocelyn and Daeron aren’t going to be lovers but they’re not friends either, but instead a secret third thing: sharing the existential horror and weight of prophecy.

But a lot of them were big enough smartasses to act like a pseudo-sibling, Peter would know. That was why he took the ribbing and strange comments about his and Wade’s relationship in stride – it was all just a joke, or a faux pas, or something else that was a bit weird, but still totally normal. Right?

"Is this some kind of joke?" I whispered in shock, my voice trembling as I stared at the reflection in the ornate mirror before me. Well, her mirror. The polished silver showed a face I knew all too well—just not my own. Pale skin, a cascade of silver-gold hair, and violet eyes that could only belong to one person.
"Who the hell did I piss off to become her? The Black Queen?" My words were almost a growl as I gripped the edges of the vanity, the cold metal biting into my fingers.
That's right. One moment, I was just me, heading home after another long day, and the next... a car came out of nowhere. I don’t even remember the impact, not really. It was too fast. No flashes of light, no angelic choirs—just darkness. And then I was here.
