“Okay,” Hollander says, voice cracking.
He doesn’t say anything else. The air’s so heavy around them that it feels like being in the middle of a scrum, the weight and heat of all those bodies pressing down on you. A year after mysteriously dropping out of the 2009 draft, Shane Hollander is signed by the Boston Raiders, right behind Ilya Rozanov. Having the two biggest stars in the league on the same line is great for Boston — but playing alongside their worst rival was never exactly in Shane or Ilya's plans. Will levels him with his heated gaze but the boy is unbothered, blinking at him with his hair disheveled, completely obvious to the want he fills Will with.
Mike takes his hand back, but doesn't move away.
“Let me help you with your jacket.” Mike requests.
Will's brows shot up his forehead.
“Help, how?”
“Like, help you take it off.”
Will lets a beat pass, just looking into Mike's eager eyes.
“You want to help me undress?” he smiles suggestively.
Mike falters in his movements.
“I–” his eyes search Will's face, his gaze settling down on Will's lips. “Yeah.” he breathes out.
“Okay,” Will looks at him from underneath his eyelashes, blinking up at him. “Go for it.”***
Will and Mike go off to college together, just like they always planned to do.
They share a dorm, past traumas and love for each other.
While Will is trying to find a certain steadiness and sense of comfort in the life ‘after the Upside Down’, things with Mike get gradually more complicated (in a good way).Bookmarked by MysteriousBridge

Summary
Mike Wheeler is a mess. Nearly thirty years old, a closeted virgin, and secretly in love with his childhood best friend. What better way to turn things around than to spend his thirtieth birthday with the Party playing D&D? When Will casts an overpowered Zone of Truth spell, Mike fears the campaign is over. Except the spell doesn't target the NPC holding the key to victory—Mike is the affected creature.
What starts as an innocent evening filled with adventure quickly devolves into a humiliating display of lust as Mike answers the Party's questions about his sexual preferences and his feelings for a certain someone. Even worse, he comes to find that Will is more than happy to get him alone to continue the interrogation.

“I already have to tell you the truth if you ask,” Mike says.
“True,” Will smiles. “But this is more fun, right? A proper persuasion check?”
“Okay,” Mike breathes out. “I’m- I’m still the DM, so… You roll for persuasion. Let’s say the Difficulty Class is ten. That’s fair, right?”
It might as well be a five, hell, maybe even a two. Mike’s too eager, too fucking desperate to not be persuaded by any suggestion of his.
