Summary
When the Byers move to California, Will is lonely, bullied, and struggling with his mental health. When Mike comes to visit, he notices that something is off, but doesn’t know what’s wrong or how to help while his best friend feels so far away even though he's physically there. However, maybe Mike finds the answer after they are brought closer than ever after El is abducted by the government and they end up facing capture, interdimensional monsters, torture, the past, their own feelings, and attempting to prevent the apocalypse. (Post-s3, rewriting s4, and predicting s5).

Summary
Every instinct screamed at him to move, to pivot hard on his heel, trap the gun arm, shove the barrel off line, and go for his own weapon before the other person could react.
His body had already begun running the motions in the back of his mind, but something in the angle of the pressure against his neck stopped him.
The barrel wasn’t level. It wasn’t aligned straight across the base of his spine the way it would have been if the shooter stood at equal height.
Instead, it pressed slightly upward. Whoever held the gun had to lift their arm higher than natural to reach him. The geometry was wrong for a grown soldier. Hopper kept that detail filed away, muscles locked in place, forcing himself not to move while his mind quietly adjusted the picture of the smaller person standing behind him.Five years ago, Will Byers vanished in the Upside Down.
The time does not pass gently. Will begin to lose pieces of himself, memories, proof that his mind is unraveling even as his body learns to endure. But what happens when the man who swore to find him all those years ago finally lives up to that promise.Bookmarked by Nasy2305

Summary
Will swallows down his fear and stares at the door unblinkingly. Kill the monster. Take the risk. Cast fireball. Shoot the gun.
Of course, he hadn’t expected it to come from behind him.
The light burns bright into his retinas. The whole room shakes, wood paneling nearly busting at the seams.
A rolled seven. An unrewarded risk.
The beast’s got him.

Summary
Will loved ordinary things, an uneventful existence was something he craved. Sadly, when Mike Wheeler walks into his life, Will’s easy going path snaps right in half. A passion he could never imagine overtaking his whole being.
It was too bad their friend groups hated each other and his sister had a huge crush on the musician. Off limits.
Fantastic.
