“Hey, babe. Been looking everywhere for you.”
The voice was low, honeyed, warm in all the right places. It fell over Rumi in a way the man’s voice hadn’t, settling into her bones and gnawing faintly, already leaving impressions on her marrow.
And yet another touch, this one lighter, a palm splayed across the small of her back, a second body pressing into hers from behind.
“Yeah, we thought we lost you for a sec there.” This voice, a little higher, but no less deadly.
Not one, but two strangers.
“Can’t you see you’re interrupting something?” the guy snapped at them.
“Can’t you see,” the first voice mocked, “she’s not yours?”
OR
Two women step in when a guy gets pushy with Rumi at a bar. What happens after is meant to be a one-night stand, nothing more.
But rarely do things turn out exactly the way they're meant to.

Summary
Zoey and Mira are at the end of their rope waiting for Celine to finally track down this third and final member of their hunting trio before they can make their debuts as idols and start to actually be effective against the forces of evil in their world. They decide to blow off some steam at a club in the city but run into trouble when they come toe to toe with a demon unlike any they'd faced before.
She's strong and clearly very powerful, but when they draw their weapons, she does something no other demon has when faced with the opportunity to try and take down the legendary demon hunters.
She runs away.

The woman’s eyes widened, and her hand reached out, not quite touching Rumi, but close. “Not that you’re not beautiful, because wow, you-” She stopped, a look of realisation crossed her face “-I mean, no, wait, no, you are beautiful, but I wasn’t hitting on you, I have a girlfriend-”
Rumi ignored her chest squeezing.
“-A stunning girlfriend, Mira. I mentioned her, right? My girlfriend Mira-” The woman stopped abruptly and lowered her head down into her arms. “Jeez, Zoey, stop rambling at the deaf woman.” It was muffled, but Rumi heard it.
Silenced by grief, Rumi’s world is transformed when she crosses paths with Mira and Zoey, who guide her toward a voice she thought was lost forever.

Mira with Zoey holding her arm in a death grip: Hey, my girlfriend saw you from across the record shop, and we really dig your vibe. Can we buy you a vinyl?

“I was born with my patterns. At first there was only one small marking. It was tiny and could have been mistaken for a birthmark on my arm right here.” She brushed her left bicep where her patters had started. “But they spread, and when Celine took me in even though I only had a few small lines on my arm she knew what I was. She told me that I must never let anyone see.” Rumi felt her chest grow tight and she instinctively wrapped her arms around herself as if to protect her heart from the pain that lived there. “I hid. My whole life I hid. And I trained. I had one purpose. Celine promised me that once the Honmoon was sealed everyone would be safe and I would be free of my patterns.” Rumi felt a tear glide down her cheek. “That once it was sealed, I would be fixed.” Her voice cracked on the last word. Fixed. What did that even mean any more?

The conversations about Rumi's patterns that we didn't see after the Honmoon is sealed and before they go to the bathhouse. All of the gay angst of Rumi realizing that she doesn't just love Zoey and Mira, she's in love with them, and they're in love with her.

Rumi is hired by a mysterious billionare as a legal representative for a large gothic estate and starts to notice some peculiar things about it's inhabitants. Their skin is too cold, their eyes too sharp, their words too charming. The locals warn Rumi to run, and yet, there's something about Mira and Zoey that convinces her to do the exact opposite.
