Summary
After many close shaves with death, Zoro began to feel paranoid— another revelation on his part. Being anxious about Luffy's well-being felt like a creeping, familiar inevitability, a suffocating cold feeling that gripped him tightly. It felt like Kuina all over again, pushing his motivation forward— only to leave him behind. Giving him joy and brightness, a reason to live, only to strip him bare. Luffy had all the same positive qualities as Kuina, a bright smile, a warm laugh- and he was an inspiration to him just like her... so many similarities. So what would be the possibility of him having the same fate?

Summary
You knew something was ‘off’ with Ren the minute you met him but as you grew closer to him, you started to care less. Whether it was his strange secretive nature or the deaths of people close to you that pointed solely at him, you didn't seem to mind.
You even encouraged it.
His feelings towards you were so immense and genuine, it felt a shame to lose it all to a few ‘bad’ things happening.
Ren had no idea you knew all this about him. Ren had no idea the amount of times you’d ignored his slip ups. Like the time you found his ‘totally hidden’ shrine dedicated to you, or the suspicious red stains around his basement. You didn't really care, it felt nice.
Why would you care, especially when you know you're worse…
