“I thought you were dead,” Pandora says, the confession worming its way down Regulus’ spine, sending goosebumps rippling through his body. “The bomb, I thought it hit you,” She says it so simply. Like commenting on the weather, but if Regulus knew anything, pretending it didn’t matter, made it hurt just a little less.
“No, no, Pandora, I’m still here. It missed me,” he neglected to mention the new and rather painful scar that now marred his back, “ I’m fine, you're fine, we’re fine.” Regulus said it with all the courage he had left, mustering it up to sound as confident and resolute as he could. His voice still cracked.

“You should try to control crime instead of eliminating it.” Was a weird sentence for her ten-year-old to start their morning with but Harley guessed it could be worse.
“Control it?” Pam asked; she sat at the table with Tim while Harley cooked.
“Yeah, like monitor the drugs and protect businesses so they don’t have to pay gangs to do so. Make it safer for the working girls to do their job and monitor kids to make sure they aren’t dealing or taking drugs.”“Why do you even know about that stuff?” Harley asked while cooking chocolate chip pancakes, something she soon figured out was her son's favorite.
“I went out in crime alley a lot before we met.” Was the only explanation she got, which she had already known but still made her cringe at the complete lack of supervision he used to have.
