Grace misses humans, and when faced with the option to have another human on board, he can't pass it up. But having this other human on board proves to be difficult, he doesn't trust easily, and trying to earn his trust is a horrible, long process. Grace doesn't care how long it will take, Grace refuses to let Simon suffer alone.

Summary
This takes place about a year after the events in Project Hail Mary, Grace and Rocky living life peacefully and normally, until one day..
Grace and Rocky had done a brief trip back into orbit to monitor the taumoeba levels in tg Petrova line, however it wasn’t very conclusive.
So, Grace and Rocky decide to head back to the Petrova line connected to 40-Eridani to do a quick checkup on the taumoeba levels. And while on the way there, they notice a strange moon in the Eridani system that appeared out of nowhere.. turning their mission upside down.
