He rounded the path, entering into a passage that directed him into a large chamber of the cave. Warmer than before and comforting by the sweet smell suffocating the room. Crystals melded into the columns above, glittering in the radiant blue light. Pure Vanilla was in awe, eyes guiding across the ceiling of cave, glimmering like a starlit night.
“Ngn…” A sudden whimper came out from nearby disturbing him from his wonderment. He peered over, eyes suddenly widening as he froze completely, for the source of the light laid only a few feet from him.
Ethereal was the word that came to mind seeing him.

Wind Archer's teeth clicked together as he clenched his jaw. He had been practicing his aim, as per usual, and while he typically missed his shot once in a millennium, he had missed his target for the third time that day. Wind Archer allowed the wind's current to sweep the discarded arrow back to him and fall into place alongside the other arrows in his well-loved quiver. Letting out a frustrated sigh, the guardian of the Dessert Forest realizes he had been rather distracted all day... Images of a mischievous smile and flaming locks swarmed his brain and created an unusually absent-minded cookie.

All he needed to see for the utter dread to kick in was the long, golden hair cascading down his back and over his shoulders. Heterochromatic eyes fixated on Black Sapphire with something that resembled shock, recognition, and even more sickeningly, concern.
Dread, anger, fear, and utter and complete hatred all surfaced as Black Sapphire recognized who was standing in front of him, staring at him with that misplaced warmth– the grossest most nauseating warmth. And yet part of him desperately wished he was hallucinating, that he had lost too much jam, that perhaps Shadow Milk was playing a trick on him from afar, though a horrible trick it would be—
“Black Sapphire…? Are you alright??”
Please, anyone but him.

After the fall of the Spire and Shadow Milk’s defeat at the hands of Pure Vanilla, Black Sapphire gets assigned a new mission to spread rumors throughout the Vanilla Kingdom. However, after a particularly nasty run-in with monsters of the Raisin Valley, he encounters the very ancient hero who defeated them himself.

Wandering throughout the Spire, Truthless shudders restlessly. His wings are itchy, ruffling around as he stalks through forbidden halls. He can't help himself when he finds it. A beautiful ivory fabric with golden embroidered eyes that gleamed—he needs it. So, despite the punishment that would surely await his thieving hands, he takes the linen. It makes a lovely centerpiece for his bed, along with the other pillows and blankets and Shadow Milk plush.
His heat had taken him by surprise, a logical explanation to the growing throb in his chest. But it doesn't make sense—he'd planned his trip to beast yeast around his mating cycle, and the cold of the Spire did nothing to help his instincts. So why? Why was this happening to him?
Shadow Milk finds Truthless in this state, curled into a nest of blankets. Instead of leaving—of running—he finds himself staying. Preening Recluse's neglected wings comes easy; he'd had plenty of practice helping Eternal Sugar with her own pair, before their corruption and eventual imprisonment. It's a simple task, brushing out dust and pulling off broken feathers.
But Truthless won't be content with just preening for long.
