In New York, all hell has broken loose. Two rival gangs are trying to take over, one called the Marvels, the others, the Monsters. When the Monsters' best assassin, Sans, is tasked to kill the leader of the Marvels, he begins to wonder if this is the right job for him. Thanos has run this city long enough, sure, but... he's more powerful than anyone knows.
Will Sans be able to defeat Thanos and the Marvel gang to take for the Monsters? Or will he die in vain, allowing the Marvels' tyranny to rule on?

Summary
Oscar studies him clearly from mussed hair to scuffed boot, focusing in on the strange half-second in which he felt his way along the pew in order to move closer. Time had not been kind to either of them, leaving its obvious marks in various places. Instead of pointing out new scars, the wrinkled state of his jacket, how the knot of his tie was not quite tight enough, he simply drinks him all in to the best of his impartial ability. It is not easy.
“You’re still thin,” he admonishes kindly. “That always worried me, you know?”
Carefully he lifts his remaining hand to Arthur’s face, palm cupping one side of his jawline as if feeling along the bone there. Automatically Arthur closes his eyes, sinking into the touch. Just as soon as he leans against the fleeting shiver of heat, it’s gone.
Arthur and John return to what they left behind, hoping for a fresh start.

“So, since my dear Martin has been suffering ever so much on that cot in Document Storage,” Tim begins, sending exaggerated puppy dog eyes back at Martin, “I've decided we're going out!”
“But– the worms,” Martin protests, at the same time Jon sighs: “Need I remind you, Tim, that Jane Prentiss is still a very real threat?”
He scoffs, waving off the criticism with a flip of his hand. “Well of course I know that. Which is why I have a plan.”
Jon raises a single eyebrow, the picture of disdain, whatever he wanted to talk about with Martin apparently forgotten.
“We'll be going somewhere…” –and here Tim pauses for dramatic effect– “...with a lot of people!”
“Oh, goody,” Jon says in the dryest monotone Martin has ever heard in his life.
