Traveler sat up, rubbing his temple. What a weird dream. He thinks. Ever since he landed on Nod-Krai, all he dreams off is this distant voice and softer touch he cannot seem to remember. Sometimes he would dream of his days with Lumine. When they were together, when they were not separated by. . . something.
A part of him understood Lumine's determination. Yet a part of him longed for his sister's comfort like in those dreams. But it wasn't just his sister. There was someone there. Someone he cannot remember. Someone he cannot reach. Someone who left his memories with nothing but a faint touch and distant voice.

The traveler and his sister weren't alone when the traveler in their spaceship, carrying the key to humanity. They had someone, their guardian. Even if the traveler can't remember them, traveler yearns for a home in them. The sentence barely registers in Mydei’s mind as he stares at the shadow of the man who was once Phainon, who sits completely still in a chair, dull eyes staring sightlessly ahead.
“Damage to mind function detected… Possibly irreversible…”
The Antikytheran-like man continues reading through the digitized logs impartially, as if merely reciting a speech. But every single word he says drives another stake into Mydei’s heart.
Mydeimos the Undying scarcely bowed his head, rarely lowered himself onto his knees, and never, ever begged. And yet he finds himself doing all three things now, before the broken shell of his beloved.

Alive- so why can't Phainon stop having vivid nightmares of spilled golden blood, a wound to the back incapable of healing-
Of Mydei laying lifeless on the council grounds?
(Or, Phainon starts having horrifyingly visceral nightmares of a past unfamiliar to him, and slowly begins to piece together that there is something more nefarious lurking behind both the Flame Reaver and Amphoreus than the Chrysos Heirs originally imagined.)
