Summary:
When Obi-Wan dies by Anakin's hand, he expects that to be the end.
It is not.

Dying and coming back to life for a second time should have been more surprising. Harry Potter merely sighed in exasperation and moved on.
Death at thirty was not something he was entirely happy with, but he had lived a lot longer than he could have hoped for at fifteen years old. Waking up after was annoying, but in such a chaotic situation he could only roll with it.
Having a wizard with a whisper of Destiny about him wondering about Harry's existence in this wild new world was bad enough, but to these people he was considered a child. Nope, he was not going to be staying with them.
Harry Potter had not been a child in a very long time; he would not start acting like one now.

Obi-Wan froze in place the moment he looked up. His eyes observed the large statues one by one.
Plo Koon, Mace Windu, Kit Fisto– they were all Councillors during the War.
Obi-Wan stood in front of the statues as tears welled up in his eyes. He hadn’t seen them in a long time and these statues looked exactly like them. From facial features and expression down to the way they were seated– as if they were in a regular Council meeting.
“Look Uncle Ben! It’s–” Obi-Wan leaped to Luke and covered his mouth before he could say anything else.
“Yes, I see, it’s General Kenobi.” He hoped the beings whose attention was drawn towards them would move on quickly. “But try not to shout, Luke, alright?”
His eyes left the boy to observe the statue of himself.

It's been thirteen long years since I assumed the role of the King's Master of Whisperers. Over a decade has passed since I pledged my service to him during his exile. The reasons behind my sister's and my presence in this primitive and forsaken land remain unclear. All I've ever done is ensure her safety, acting in the name of Maegor. After turning down his father’s request that he stay and serve in Kings Landing, Aemon Targaryen does not go to Dragonstone to serve his oldest brother as Maester. Instead, he heads to Winterfell to serve House Stark taking himself as far away from Kings Landing as possible with no plan to ever return despite the pain it causes him.
He grows to love House Stark over the sixty years he serves them. But he never forgets House Targaryen and he watches their rise and fall closely. Within a year of 282 AC, Rickard, Brandon, Rhaegar, Rhaenys and Aegon are all dead and he is the last Targaryen in Westeros. Riddled with guilt, he resigns himself to the fact that he has managed to fail not only House Targaryen but also House Stark.
Then Ned Stark returns from Dorne with Jon Snow.

In 294 AC, a succession crisis has erupted following the deaths of Robert Baratheon, his brothers Stannis and Renly, and Robert's children. The exact circumstances of their deaths are unclear, but it's known that Stannis had discovered Cersei's infidelity with Jaime Lannister, leading to a chaotic conflict in the Red Keep that resulted in multiple deaths, including Cersei and Jaime.
With only young Shireen Baratheon remaining of Robert's line, the succession is in question. Jon Arryn has called a Great Council at Harrenhal to settle the matter. The main claimants are Shireen Baratheon and Viserys Targaryen, who has returned from exile.

His vows have been tested three times before. This is his fourth and final test and, after nearly eighty years of being a bystander at the Wall whilst his family destroyed themselves, Aemon decides that enough is enough. He’s been a man of the Nights Watch for most of his life; but he’s been a Targaryen all his life.
He might be old and trapped at the Wall, but he grew up in Kings Landing and no one knows the Game of Thrones like he does.
