Summary
“You’re dying.” he whispered. It wasn’t a question. He knew in his gut that Ilya was dying. His body was giving up. And Shane would have to live with himself knowing the last words Ilya ever heard were him asking if Ilya would choose him over hockey.
He moved to his forehead, kissing him lightly once, and finally down his lips, kissing him deeply for the last time. “Ya tebya lyublyu.” Then, in english, “Say hi to your mom for me.”
Or the one where Ilya's plane crashed and Shane has to come to terms with the possibility of losing the love of his life.

Summary
He needs to move, maybe get Rozanov’s attention before he loses his nerves.
And then the room tilts. His vision narrows, red light smearing into pink and white streaks. Shane staggers in his spot, and the beer slips from his fingers. It shatters, the foam splashing his shoes, glass skittering away. His knees give out like someone kicked him, and his hands shoot forward to hold himself upright.
His left palm lands in broken glass, though he doesn’t feel it. What he notices is the certainty that everyone sees, that they can smell him, something sour and wrong. His scent, despite his patches and care, has turned exposed.
OR: What if we took the club scene from episode 4 and had Shane collapse from experiencing Omega Rejection Syndrome after seeing Ilya dancing with someone else?

Summary
"Listen, Mr. Rozanov." The general manager is talking out of the side of his mouth, his cigarette dropping ashes all over the hotel table. "We like you. We want you. We understand you are putting yourself under a fair amount of risk here, meeting with us like this. I hope it's obvious that if you play for us, we will set you up for a good life in Canada."
He pauses, looks Ilya in the eye. "But you have to understand, if you agree to this, you have to be prepared to leave with us right now."
