Summary
Yi's death leaves Ruyi at the mercy of his murderers. Without purpose or direction, the AI survives the centuries alone in New Kunlun questioning what it means to be alive. When Yi returns from the grave, he discovers some surprising things about his long-abandoned assistant, and faces the uncomfortable possibility of self-awareness.
