Ocelot finally spoke again: "Miller's been mentally unstable since returning from the Soviet camp. He can't take having his mind tampered with any further."
Snake sat nearby, watching, and asked in a tone that implied there could be no other answer: "But you'll handle everything, won't you?"

The boy in an olive-green vest and shorts crawl past the instructors' window. At the corner he looked around with quick animal caution. No matter how many times you saw it, that impassive profile hit you like a blow. One look and anyone who knew you would recognize the resemblance.
You watched as he lifted out a puppy, which had gray-black fur and round, soft paws. His face showed an expression of rare joy.

当你第一次怀着憧憬的心情，踏入老大专属的空中作战中心的时候，你不禁惊讶于这个地方的精心布置。你认出了那个“和平女孩”的卡通画报，一张和桑地诺军的合影，一张凤尾绿咬鹃的贴画。靠近舱内，老大平时座位的地方粘着一张米勒指挥官的照片，抱着吉他，褪去了平时锋芒毕露的模样，看起来安静又温和。
“这张是我拍的，拍得很不错吧？”老大特意把手边的那张照片指给你看，带着笑意的语气几乎沉迷。
“我也不知道他是怎么想的。”米勒指挥官佯装不满地评价道，“我比这更帅气的照片可多了去了。”
你知道指挥官不是真的在抱怨，于是只是垂下眼睛笑笑，装作忙于把沉在不锈钢杯底的砂糖搅拌均匀。
The first time you stepped into Boss's personal Aerial Command Center with a sense of anticipation, you couldn't help but be surprised at its meticulous arrangement. You recognized the "Peace Girl" cartoon poster, a group photo with the Sandinista Army, and a sticker of a resplendent quetzal. Near Boss's usual seat was a photo of Commander Miller, holding a guitar, looking quiet and gentle, stripped of his usual sharp demeanor.
"I took that one. Nice shot, huh?" Boss pointed at it with almost indulgent pride.
"I've got way more handsome pictures than that," Miller said, feigning annoyance.
You knew he wasn't really complaining, so you just lowered your eyes with a small smile, pretending to focus on stirring the sugar at the bottom of your steel cup.

At half past ten on a weekday night, Miller had just opened the door to their tiny office when he saw Ocelot leaning casually against the side of his desk, legs crossed, looking perfectly relaxed as he chatted happily on the phone. His tone was flirtatious, quite different from the usual controlling persona he played, unexpectedly soft, calm, and laced with obvious affection.

直升机快要降落，正环绕着母基地盘旋。远远地，斯内克就认出了地面上两个熟悉的小点。米勒和豹猫正站在直升机平台前面等候。
飞机还未稳住，米勒已经顶着螺旋桨卷起的烈风步履艰难地走向他。“你要跟我走，老大。”
他只是这么说，像是命令，大声且清晰。他看起来很严肃。斯内克了解他，看出他脸上是他不打算解释任何事的时候的表情。斯内克求助的眼神佯装不经意地转向了米勒身后的豹猫，然而从间谍那张脸上，他也读不出一丝或笑或怒的表情。这让他心里一沉又一沉。
The helicopter was circling above Mother Base, preparing to land. From afar, Snake could already make out two familiar figures on the platform below. Miller and Ocelot were standing by the landing zone, waiting.
Before the aircraft had even fully stabilized, Miller was already braving the powerful rotor wash, walking toward him with visible effort.
"You're coming with me, Boss."
That was all he said—like an order. Loud and clear. His expression was stern, and Snake knew that look. It was the look Miller wore when he didn't intend to explain anything.
Snake cast a subtle, almost pleading glance at Ocelot, who stood just behind Miller. But the spy's expression was unreadable—neither smiling nor frowning—and that only deepened the pit in Snake's stomach.
