    When Merlin first gets to Camelot and sees the king chop off someone’s head, he thinks that perhaps someone should do something about that. When he gets called by the dragon locked in the king’s basement, he thinks someone should do something about that pretty quickly. When the revenge of the executed man’s mother doesn’t take out two dozen innocent people as collateral damage to the king only because he intervenes, he remembers that he is, in fact, someone and is, according to Gaius, pretty powerful.
