And Zayn is helpless when it comes to Niall, would do anything she asked, so he parks the car and shuts it off, clambering into the backseat with Niall and he’s not anymore fluid than she is so it’s no easy feat. He only knees the center console once and it’s because Niall kisses him and he forgets how to keep moving.
She laughs at him, bright and loud in his ear, and Zayn forgets the feel his heart drop to his stomach.
He forgets to remember that she has a boyfriend and he forgets to remember that she has to go to work in two hours and he forgets to remember anything except her name.

Yet, here he is, sitting on Louis’ couch and attempting to glare at Harry. Harry is pointedly refusing to look at him properly. Niall huffs and tells him, “You had to have known that this would happen.”
Harry pushes his hair behind his ear and blinks at him, “Niall, I had no idea he would do that. What does it matter anyways? You liked him didn’t you?”
Niall groans, “Harry, I -“
Louis cuts him off as he enters the room, three cups of tea in his hands, “Did you like him, though?” He says it the same way people ask but did you die and Niall kind of thinks he might’ve.

Louis squints at him, "I'm appalled that you think I would do such a thing, Zayn Malik," he doesn't really look all that offended but Zayn isn't really sure how to read him anymore, really.

Niall starts to freeze up, which is slightly funny because he’s sweating right now, it’s so hot here, suddenly. But Zayn’s right there, crowding into Niall’s space, pressing Niall against his back as he huffs at his father, “He’s mine.” The words are biting, almost a command, begging the Devil himself to refute them.

What is the plot of this fic? The plot is Draco Malfoy having a terrible fucking time and never being able to catch a break. It will begin fifth year and take you through his journey of being a death eater, the Battle of Hogwarts and post-war. It will loosely follow some canon events but timelines and dates may not be identical. The story itself is one big what if. What if Draco and Hermione started dating before he became a death eater? What if Draco had been present for certain events during the horcrux hunt? What if the war ended this way and these certain people were lost? The characters and story are in no way meant to be canon but instead, an exploration into other possible characterizations of them.
It's also wise to remember, this is entirely from Draco's point of view. Who is to say that he's a reliable narrator?

Louis doesn’t know what comes over him. “Please H-Harry, take me,” Louis looks back at the farmhouse, swallowing once as his skittish eyes fall onto the master bedroom window, “Take me with you, please.”
Harry’s scent flares, the tinged anger so noticeable that Louis draws back out of the alpha’s space.
“Is he hittin’ on you?”
Louis’ right hand rests briefly against the bruise forming rapidly over the right side of his rib cage, the darkness of the night hiding the movement. “No.”
Or, When Harry comes around, it’s the coldest time of year. Louis, for once, just wants Harry to take him away from colder weather.
