    Summary

The explosion at the Conclave damages the Veil irrevocably, and breaks open Elgar'nan's prison. Solas is still weak from his slumber, but if he does not find a solution quickly, great evil will be released upon the world. Working in secret within the Inquisition, he searches for a way to seal away the Blight and defeat Elgar'nan before time runs out.

Of course he cannot afford to be distracted by the elven woman who has become known as the Herald of Andraste - this would be the worst possible time for him to fall in love.

This is an Inquisition-era AU where the explosion at the Conclave goes even worse and Solas is forced to do a lot more plotting and scheming. Featuring secrets revealed earlier than in canon; some adventures in ancient Arlathan; plus an excursion to the Black City.

She had heard bits and pieces about him, mostly from the Breakfast Ladies who still speculated about his past. Was he a Dalish reject? A city elf with a dark past? A former slave of Tevinter, trained as an apprentice by a powerful and benevolent magister who freed him upon their death? Josephine liked that theory and Cassandra looked rather proud of it before admitting it was far from what Solas himself shared during interrogation. Aevina didn’t contribute her own thoughts on the matter because—

Mythal, those shoulders. His neck. And his calming presence…which was also very imposing, now that he stood a staff’s length away from her. And a kind face with an expression that was difficult to read. And—and—where was I?

    “You called, da’lan?”

His voice had an edge to it; annoyance?

“Forgive me,” he continued. “I was quite confused by the hand motions. I thought you were gesturing to something else.” His grey eyes were cold. “A nug, perhaps?”

An examination of how an ancient immortal on a mission to save his world found himself caring for a mortal ignorant of her past—the same mortal who holds the key to his redemption.

“I said wait!” she hisses again, palm slicing the air in irritation. “Come on! You’re not a guard, I’m not a guard, you’re clearly here on some shady business, I’m also here on some shady business! Why make each other’s night harder when we could just… walk away?”

She tilts her head, a cocky grin tugging at her lips. “Surely you don’t want to waste your precious time hiding a body when you could be doing…” Her eyes roam over him, up and down and back again. “…whatever it is that you’re doing?”

Not just an inept assassin. A young one.

Solas exhales, eyes lifting toward the sky. It’s always harder to end a life when it’s barely begun.

Solas and Rook – though she isn’t even called Rook yet – meet years before the events of Veilguard. This changes everything.

    This changes nothing.

    Summary

He tells her it's over, yet he visits her every night in her dreams. He tells her not to follow, yet always makes sure that the trail leads straight to him. He tells her that his path is one he must walk alone, yet it keeps taking him back to her.

How far is he willing to go to restore the world he once destroyed to save? How far is she willing to go to stop him?

A retelling of Veilguard with Lavellan as the protagonist (aka Lavellan IS Rook) that focuses on her complicated relationship with Solas. Starts near the end of Inquisition and continues through Veilguard and slightly beyond. Includes flashbacks to Inquisition. Mostly canon compliant with some small and large liberties taken at times (and a bunch of stuff from Joplin woven back in for good measure).

    Summary

    Strategist. Soldier. Survivor.

In a galaxy consumed by war, Lieutenant Valeria Solin was trained to predict conflicts — not fight in them.

A gifted strategist from the heart of Coruscant, Valeria finds herself reassigned without warning to the Republic flagship Negotiator, a vessel commanded by Jedi legends and shaped by battles too large for calculation. Surrounded by myth, rank, and silence, she is forced to rebuild her purpose among warriors who follow instinct, not analysis.

General Kenobi is not the man she expected — nor is he the kind of Jedi she thought the Republic still produced. As the war grinds on, and trust grows in quiet spaces between battles, their connection begins to blur the lines between duty and something deeper.

Amid the chaos of combat, the pull of memory, and the vast quiet of hyperspace, Valeria will come to understand that some wars are not won on the battlefield —
    but within the self.
And some bonds are harder to predict than any strategy ever taught her.
