Summary
The events at Dana-Burn were sanitised and swept under the carpet in order to protect the name of Iason Mink and the integrity of elites and Jupiter.
Now only two people remain that know the full truth of it.
One of them is a man whose entire existence and livelihood hinged on the good will of the one who is now gone. What is left for him now but to be scrapped and perish like he should have all those years ago.

Summary
The Coins control the world. They're genetically engineered to be perfect. They own everything. Holding all the cash and all the cards, they are as untouchable as the gods on Mount Olympus.
In this universe, Greek myth forms the basis of a technologically-advanced society where a few privileged people have everything, and everyone else is either chasing their scraps or working outside the law. One of the most common ways to get ahead is to become a Coin's human "pet" -- sexual playthings that are openly used by Coins and their friends whenever and wherever the Owner pleases.
Autolycus, a thief, catches the eye of Rhys, a Coin. When Autolycus later gets caught on a job, he agrees to become Rhys's pet in exchange for not being sent to prison. But the Coins didn't get to be where they are by playing nice, and there is darkness and intrigue amongst all the endless pursuit of pleasure and sensual thrills.
Meanwhile, Autolycus's friends seek to rescue him, while some of Rhys's old friends worry about his new, strangely perfect pet. VR Training is effective, but not that effective when your pet comes from the slums and has only been around for a few weeks!
All of these lives become intertwined.
