One day, he receives a patient fresh off a suicide attempt whose bloodwork reminds Dan of days filled with glowing vials and corpse violence. Astonished, Dan unwillingly finds Herbert a part of his life again.
As Herbert recuperates, something ominous lurks over Arkham: a strange monster, killing at random and making off with body parts. Herbert and Dan are reminded of just how well they suit one another as they both work to stop the creature ... before there's nobody left for organ donation.

Father Garcia needed his help. John wasn't exactly innocent (Lisa? The dead cultists?), after all, so Garcia didn't feel horrible making a man with blood on his hands fight.
