Thomas looked up and met Newt’s dampened, reddened eyes - so much hurt and sadness in them. Thomas had to look away, let his own eyes close, trying to stop his tears as he squeezed them shut.He still had hold of Newt’s hand.

*sigh* I spent a fair bit of time crying all over the place just thinking about these two after reading The Death Cure, so I’ve tried for some angst here but basically I just needed happy Newtmas!!
