Summary
“And what about my chance to have grandkids?” Faranak pleads. “Surely you can adopt.”
“We already have Mehrak,” Alhaitham points out, moving to stand behind Kaveh. “One small, loud being in the house is enough for me.”
<><><>
Faranak visits Kaveh after years of distance. The first thing she does is ask when they're going to have children. She... isn't exactly ready to take no for an answer. A one-shot featuring Kaveh's strained relationship with his mother, way too much pressure to have kids, and my dislike of cishet norms being forced onto queer relationships. As well as Alhaitham's stupid not-soup.

Summary
Kaveh nods miserably. “It destroyed the foundation, and the entire building went crumbling a month before it would’ve been finished. Dori wanted to give up on it,” he is rambling now, words slightly slurred by the alcohol on his tongue, “but Alcazarzaray is — that Palace is not allowed to fall before I die.”
“So you paid for it to be rebuilt,” Alhaitham says. It is not a question.
“It was either pay for it,” Kaveh mutters, “or die before it could finish falling. And I don’t want to die.”
Kaveh's skin is made of porcelain, and Alhaitham suddenly learns how to sculpt.

Summary
For a few days after feeding, Kaveh’s skin takes on a healthy glow and a human warmth and if someone were to listen closely, they would hear a heartbeat, faint as it may be. But Kaveh’s skin is ice cold, and he has no pulse. His complexion is grey, ashy.
“When was the last time you fed?” Alhaitham asks, voice measured.

Summary
Ever since a student innocently remarked on the closeness between Professor Kaveh and Scribe Alhaitham, Kaveh has found himself the subject of relentless teasing in each class he taught at the Akademiya. His attempts to dismiss the rumors only seem to encourage his students, leaving him flustered and frustrated.
After all, it’s not as if Alhaitham actually liked him… right? Or is there something he’s missing that everyone else seems to see?

Summary
Tighnari sighs, frowning. His tail swishes again, slowly. “You know he’s waiting. All you gotta do is ask.”
“That isn’t what I’m worried about, Tighnari,” Kaveh admits. The secret, the truth he’s kept from Alhaitham. The reason that, eventually, every partner Kaveh ever has will leave him. Kaveh sighs, fidgeting with his rings. “I’m asexual. I don’t want to have sex with him or anyone. Ever. And I don’t know how to tell him that.”
<><><>
After two weeks of dating, Kaveh still hasn't told Alhaitham that he's asexual. But eventually, secrets are bound to get out, and Alhaitham's reaction is far better than Kaveh could have anticipated.
