Summary
The room is too bright.
It’s quaint, in a nauseating sort of way. Polished floors glint from the gleaming honeycomb chandeliers overhead, make him squint. A few vases sprinkled here and there, filling the room with a sickeningly sweet scent – even a waffle-cone headrest framing the silken sheets of a neatly-tucked bed. Outside, the golden sun gleams, the gentle rays of light spilling past curtains that waver in the afternoon breeze.
It's meant to be beautiful. Luxurious. Welcoming.
With one sweep of his cane, Shadow Milk tears it apart.

This is not a typical fic; it does not read like a continuous story.
This is a set of memories meant to tell a story.I think of this as an experience. The drawings are not just complimentary - they are a part of the story. There are details hidden in the text as well as the art.

I'm sure given your position you already know about the advent of the General Data Protection Regulation next year, wrote Peter Lukas, to Elias Bouchard. However, the Lukas family wishes to be crystal clear that our continued investment is contingent upon the Institute taking its responsibilities with regards to privacy and confidentiality seriously.
The Magnus Institute hires a Data Protection Officer. He sets about diligently booking in meetings, writing policy documents, and training all the staff in the importance of confidentiality. Now if only he could get hold of the Head Archivist, who seems to have vanished again...
(Jon is only trying to save the world, but apparently some people think he should still be doing his day job.)

Barry is a good professor; he can’t help it if students would rather cast spells than learn the theory that makes them possible, and can’t help but resent the new professor who all his students love.
Lup can’t help that she excels at everything she does, or that the professor down the hall is bonkers uptight.
University funding is in short supply, and these two have to figure out how to see eye to eye, or risk losing their departments and their jobs.

As Taako looked out at the sand from the barrel of a wave, he caught a glimpse of Kravitz’s face as he stood at the edge of the waves, lopsided hat still perched on his head, held in place by a hand. He was cheesing hard, eyes crinkled and sparkling in the sun. The amount of excitement on his face was almost embarrassing. Taako loved him for it. Taako loved him.
That realization threw him off the wave, and Taako swam to shore, sputtering salt water the whole way.

Summary
Kravitz hated it when kids were around.
It wasn’t that he hated kids, he didn’t mind them really. He didn’t know how one was really supposed to interact with them, but that was pretty standard for the living in general. Kids were just an added extra puzzle to figure out. So even if he felt a bit awkward around them, they really weren’t the problem.
Kravitz just couldn’t stand when they ended up involved in his work. This one had though, irrevocably. Not only that, he'd gotten involved in his life, as much as one could consider it a life. It went beyond work, and as someone who hadn't existed outside of his job in centuries, that was a little uncomfortable.
He'd have to get used to it fast though, because Angus was here to stay.

As the moon rises above the treeline, Taako smells the distinctive scent of big magic—ozone, hanging thick in the air. The bird unfurls its wings, growing larger and shifting before Taako’s eyes until it's no longer a bird at all, but the most handsome man Taako’s ever seen.
He’s dark-skinned, with long dreadlocks that tumble down over his shoulders, dressed in a fine suit that’s years out of date, but perfectly preserved. His cheekbones are high and his gaze is sharp. He studies Taako and Magnus from the other side of the thorn bush, and tilts his head, considering them. “You’re a long way from home,” the man says. “Didn't anyone warn you about the dangers lurking in the Felicity Wilds after the sun goes down?”

Kravitz had never been a big fan of the galas and balls that came with being the prince. That was why his mother had suggested a masquerade one day, so that he might have a chance to enjoy himself without everyone knowing who he was. He supposed that in the end it had worked, he could not remember the last time he had so much fun. There was just one problem.
No one knew who he was, but he didn't know who that man in the mongoose mask had been either. All he knew was that he was completely and entirely in love with him, and he needed to see him again.

Famous musician Kravitz hasn't put out an album for a hot minute, so his agent decides to push him into a big publicity gambit he's not entirely sure about: pretending to be engaged to beloved but infamous celebrity chef Taako. Taako couldn't be more excited. It'll be a lot of fun to pretend to be in love, and surely nothing could possibly happen between the proposal and the wedding that might challenge them.

The fae’s expression relaxes and he offers a small smile, holding out his hand in offering. Kravitz hesitates, then gently glides down to perch along the fae’s arm, minding his talons where he can, and tilting his head at the fae.
“Lovely creature,” The fae croons, stroking two gentle fingers along Kravitz’ back in a calming gesture. Kravitz shivers and ruffles his feathers again, the sensation tingling gently.

Taako loved most things about his job, even if the coffee shop he worked at was a hot spot for every pretentious writer and artistic soul in a ten mile radius. One thing he couldn't stand however, was the radio station they were forced to play. It was the embodiment of every pseudo-intellectual snob that graced his presence each day. The host was just as bad, who puts on a fucking British accent for a radio gig? Shit was ridiculous.
And well, if he was going to be forced to listen to it, the least Taako could do was try to have some fun with it all.

Kravitz loved his job at the radio station, even if some aspects of it were a little ridiculous. Sure, it was long hours and he might've backed himself into a corner with the voice he needed to use on air, but he was surrounded by music. People couldn't bother him either, since he was locked up in the recording booth most hours of the day.Or at least, he thought people couldn't bother him. One particular caller seemed very intent on proving him wrong in that regard.

Kravitz’s channel is goth-themed and it’s called “bone appetit” which is the entire reason I came up with this concept. Taako’s channel can be called “bon apple tea” and they both claim the other stole their joke idea and that’s why the rivalry started

Taako needed some extra cash, and tutoring was a pretty low stress job that fit his schedule. It wasn't even hard, he just met with a kid a couple times a week and helped with their homework and whatever. It was a pretty good job, and the kid he landed with wasn't half bad. Taako didn't like kids, but he guessed Agnes or Angus or whatever was alright.
He didn't plan on getting attached to the job though. Or to Angus.
Or to Angus's really hot single dad.
