This place is complicated to explain, but the best way I can put it is that this is a metaphysical plane that lies between the realms of the living and the dead—why are you laughing?”
“Well, this is terribly awkward, to say the least.” The pigtailed woman giggled—a touch too patronizingly for his liking—“because I’m not Lila Rossi.”
