Summary
Simon J. Paladino never expected that joining the ranks of Supers would lead him into constant friction with one of the most reckless heroes of all: Gamma Jack. Where Simon, now known as Gazerbeam, is reserved, sharp-eyed, and cautious, Gamma Jack is everything loud, brash, and self-assured, the kind of man who declares himself “the best Super” without hesitation. At first, the two treat each other with indifference at best and irritation at worst.
But as missions bring them together, cracks form in their walls. Gamma Jack, who has always dismissed others as background noise, begins to notice something unsettlingly compelling about Gazerbeam—the quiet confidence, the way he studies everything, the steadiness that stands in stark contrast to Jack’s own chaos. He would never dare say it aloud, yet the fascination lingers.

Summary
One year after he should have started at Palmetto, after he should have accepted Wymack’s offer and continued playing exy, Neil Josten instead finds himself working at a roadside gas station seventy miles outside Columbia. This Neil, never met Wymack or Kevin or Andrew after the dingos practice. This Neil never even made it to March in Millport, and now in the fall of 2007 he’s seriously starting to question how he’s going to live out the rest of his life.
When a certain blonde buying absurd amounts of candy begins to frequent the gas station, Neil wonders if he might have an answer to that question.
“You play?” The man nodded at the TV.
“No sir.” Neil would give anything for him to leave. He pushed the bag of drinks a little further across the counter, eyes flitting to the TV again.
“Ah, but you want to, huh? You look like you wanna climb inside that TV and join em.”
Neil blinked at the man, unable to form a proper answer. Did he really look so desperate?
“I don’t know.” It was a stupid answer, and it took him too long to get the words out, but it wasn’t like this conversation mattered much anyway. “I think I’m just not meant to.”

Summary
“And your name?” The fae asks, a hand held out, his voice so kind and sweet that Tommy nearly forgets himself, forgets the warnings he’s been given.
He opens his mouth to answer, then shuts it just as quickly.
“Uh.” Tommy says, like a fool. Now that was close. Too close.
(Or, a story in which Tommy has always been too curious for his own good.)
