He fell to his knees in agony. Whatever presence was connected to the blade now poured its anger into him, and he felt it lamenting… or cursing.
“Preposterous,” a voice said. “Repulsive. Egregious. Unacceptable!” Countless accusations rang in his mind.
“W-what are you? Name yourself!” was all Kronos could gasp out. He wasn’t in the forest anymore. Through his link with the rapier, his mind drifted to some pitch-black place where he couldn’t even see his own hands.
The creature, sensing him, finally shifted its attention toward him. It tried to speak in some unknown tongue. After a moment, it switched to words Kronos understood.
“I am Wrath. I am the final dusk. I am the extinguisher of all life. I am your destiny!”

Summary

The Elysian-Pavolian War grows desperate by the hour. The blaze burning The Continent scorches thick. Provisional Correctional units are hastily assembled - convicts pressed into service and forced to command whatever mechanized scrap that Army Ordnance can't even care to maintain. These men - "undead armor" - fight Elysium’s toughest battles, meant to die so that others may live.
However, four men aren’t keen on dying - not when their chances at freedom are on the line.
Altare, Magni, Vesper and Axel are Elysian fugitives conscripted into Provisional Correctional Armored Platoons. Each of them, and those that serve with them, carry a story into the harsh battlefield - stories that will unfold as they trade their prison back home for a prison across the ocean on rusted treads with a gun long past its prime.
They're given a chance of freedom but are captive in an iron coffin. They carry one order that will stand till the end of the war:
Survive.
