Tyler’s flying high after a win in Chicago in the first of their away and home series with their Central Division rival. In the back of his mind, he was thinking that he would have liked to get Jamie’s ass in the sling with Toews there, but he’d take the win on the ice instead. Hockey before the hunt, after all, and not getting Jamie in the sling wasn’t a terrible thing if it meant getting Kaner’s ass instead.

Tyler worked on removing Deryk’s pants while Jamie took care of his shirt. Once they are all naked, Deryk lies down on the bed his back against the head board, legs stretched out, slightly spread. He pats the bed on either side, motioning for the boys to join him.

“What’s so funny?” Jamie inquires. Maybe watching a video will take his mind off the mountains.
“Scoping out our target.” Tyler says nonchalantly.
Jamie looks over to what Tyler is viewing. The video is titled “Gabriel Landeskog - Funniest Moments.” It figures Jamie looks on at the part where Gabriel is cooking shirtless in his kitchen. He looks away quickly, but it’s too late, he feels the crotch of his pants getting obnoxiously tight beneath the seatbelt that he has tightened down so far that it almost cuts off the circulation to his legs.

Game days at home always feel rushed. Optional morning skates, which aren’t optional when you wear a “C” or an “A” or are dating/married to one of them. Gerry, Cash, and Marshall are fucking around in the backyard taking care of their morning business while Jamie attempts to not burn breakfast. He’s not having much success, so he finally gives up and grabs the box of Grape Nuts, some yogurt, and blueberries. He’ll get something more substantial at the AAC.
Tyler saunters down the stairs from the bedroom wearing only a pair of boxer briefs that Jamie never fails to find sexy as fuck. He’s on his phone.

Summary
Continuation of the story of Sidney Crosby and Jamie (Marsh) Crosby. Now married, and with Jamie making strides in the treatment of his PTSD and depression, Jamie wants to take the next step in their relationship and talk about having children. Sid hesitates at first, but Jamie gets him on board. This part of their story tells of their struggles to decide on surrogacy, the search for a surrogate, and the eventual birth of daughter Kylie. But Kylie's birth brings tragedy on top of another serious injury for Jamie, and worry from Sid that this time, Jamie might not make it back on the ice.
Helps if you've read other parts - but I feel that this could be read as stand alone.

There was no moon in the sky, which made the stars brighter. They filled the sky from horizon to horizon. It was so different being here than it was in the city where the lights and air pollution dimmed the sky and made stargazing prohibitive. Even if you went to any of the lake shores, in Chicago or Buffalo, the sky still wasn’t as spectacular as it was here at the cabin.Series
