The accusations were hurled at him, fast and steady from all sides. Obi-Wan closed his eyes and accepted them.
Accepted that when the scales were weighed, it was Obi-Wan who had committed the greater crime.
He just wasn’t sure what the crime was—except that, when it came down to it, he had never been enough, had never done enough.
He had no defense against the accusation, and so he stayed silent.

Obi-Wan’s mind skips a beat or so just as he is bringing the hot mug towards his lips. He lowers it.
“Manly?” he says.
Anakin opens the cupboard by the stove and brings out every mixing and serving bowl therein. He sets them in front of the drying rack and rolls his falling sleeves back up.
“You heard me,” he says.
(Anakin has gender questions, so he wakes Obi-Wan up at ass-o-clock to demand answers.)

Summary
Commander Ponds whirls around at the sound of Mace’s step and bolts up to his feet. He begs Mace not to take Boba back to Kamino. He says that he’ll look after him. He’ll take responsibility.
With hands pressed together, he pleads for mercy for his brother. Mace tells him not to be ridiculous. Of course he isn’t taking Boba back to Kamino. He’s waiting, that’s all.
It is only fair to give everyone a second chance. Even Jango Fett.
(An AU where Mace Windu acquires and shares custody over a six-year-old Boba with Jango.)

They joke that he smells like skunk and doesn’t believe in routine bathing. They make fun of his dedication to the Living Force and the way he talks and his fascination with plants and—all of him, really.
Never to his face, of course. But to their friends. To their masters. To their padawans.
