An unexpected guest doesn't just derail his plan, he might remove Alastor from the dating market.The only being in creation capable of making Lucifer feel doubt about his attractiveness and desirability is the embodiment of Lust, but Alastor doesn't care about that, surely he has nothing to worry about. Right?

If she has to go another day forcing herself to get along with those three syphocants, duping the public into thinking she actually gives a damn about Voxtek and the trash they peddle, she’s going to go mad. It’s been 70 years since Vox had swindled her into making that deal. She’d say she’s more than earned an out by now.
Lucifer Morningstar is attending a gala for the first time in decades. Alastor seizes the opportunity to finally break free from the Vee's once and for all.

Summary
“My heat is next month,” Alastor begins, starting to pluck at the stray hair of Keekee’s from the fluff of the sweater.
Lucifer nods slowly, hands squeezing where they’re wrapped around his upper arms. “I know,” he says easily, “I’ve got my old room just about set up again. Did you need something more for your nest? I can sleep in the same pajamas for a few nights for you… Maybe a few pairs in case the first one loses the scent too quickly.”
The tightness around Alastor’s eyes grows, and barely-there glow of green at the upper corners of his mouth begins to show.
“Um, or not!” Lucifer exclaims, throwing his hands up in front of him. "Shit, sorry, I just assumed—”
“I don’t want that,” the demon bites out, causing that sinking feeling in Lucifer’s stomach to make another appearance. He seems to realize how that sounds, since he hurriedly follows it up with, “I want you there with me.”

Summary
Alastor needs a way to get him out of his deal with Rosie and put a stop to Vox, and he found his answer in the diminutive little duck-making king. He. Tricking his liege into breaking his deal would be no issue so long as he plays his cards right. When Lucifer asks for a little something in return for his help, however, Alastor realizes he bit off more than he could chew, and that he drastically misjudged his adversary.

But when the elevator stalls between floors and he finds himself trapped in a mirrored box with the wrong alpha at the worst possible moment, there’s nowhere left to hide. The suppressants are wearing off. The scent blockers are failing. And Lucifer Morningstar smells like every terrible idea Alastor’s ever had.
He just has to stay calm. Keep his distance. Ignore the heat.
