This thing’s head is split open by a bulbous core, a green one, something that’s gelatinous and seemingly alive. Tentacles sprout from the core, rather than from its body. Smaller, unused organs lay dormant in its translucent innards. It moves like a nest of worms tied together by their own tails.

It takes Moon about a hundred cycles, maybe more, to learn to communicate with the local scavengers.
