Bilbo could scarcely believe it when he turned the corner of a deep hall in Mirkwood and heard Thorin's voice in the darkness. At first he had been so exceptionally glad to have found the dwarf that he all but ripped the magic ring from his finger and exposed himself to the elven guards. But something about Thorin's voice stayed his hand. The words coming from behind the prison door were so wrought with emotion that Bilbo wondered if Thorin himself even knew what he was speaking.
No, not speaking. Praying. Thorin Oakenshield was praying.

Summary
Bofur enjoys being single, but his workmate Thorin keeps setting him up on horrible blind dates. Having enough, he bribes his friend Nori into pretending to be his boyfriend in hopes that it will make Thorin leave him be. Unfortunately, fake-dating Nori has its own set of complications and Bofur realizes he might have to go all-in on a chance to win Nori's heart for real.

Summary
Getting an uhi tattoo was not about putting a design onto the flesh, but more about clearing away the dirt and pain and revealing the hidden jewel beneath. Something that managed to evoke both the bearer's past and his potential. It provoked a spiritual transformation- as if changing the skin's surface also altered the soul.
Dwalin was covered in tattoos, each with a specific purpose and meaning.

Summary
Bilbo Baggins has a quiet life inside his fallout shelter while the world outside is destroyed by a deadly plague. Everything changes when Thorin Oakenshield and his nephews knock on his door looking for aid. Following a vague prophecy they travel west in hopes of finding the source of the plague and saving the world. Along the way they make some new friends, fight unforeseen dangers, and struggle to find a cure for the GOBO Virus. Survival doesn't matter if you forget how to live.
Slight future AU, taking Tolkien's idea of the End of All and sending our favorite dwarven company on a cross-country road trip. Light Bagginshield.

In that moment, Ronan looks like some kind of ferocious monument to a new found god; young, but infinite in power and a furious kind of sharp-edged beauty. Adam’s lungs feel a little short of air, but it’s probably just due to the cold.
“I was freezing my fucking balls off out there.” Ronan complains and, just like like that, the illusion is shattered. He is a boy once more.
Cabeswater is trying to get Adam to realise something, but he's struggling to understand what. When he and Ronan break down in the middle of nowhere, Adam finally finds himself with enough time on his hands to figure out some things about himself and his feelings.
