The corners of Aaron’s eyes crinkle, expression flickering with contradicting, heavier emotions, but he softly says, “Mm. They let me go early today, and I know I should be using this time before I go grab Gracie from school to prep dinner so it’s ready when we get back from practice, but…”
Aaron suddenly uses his grasp on him to pull him closer, and the seat of his chair bumps into the taller man’s leg just above the knee.
