The door struggles to open behind him and he drops the phone.
“Mads,” he says, panic slinking into every syllable. “I—I think—“
“Buck, come out,” Bobby says. “Please, baby.”
Buck’s stomach turns and he shakes his head. No, absolutely not. That—crime against humanity is what that is. As if lunch hadn’t been traumatizing enough.
“Was that Bobby?” Maddie’s voice is distant but rightfully alarmed.
“Something’s wrong with them,” Buck yells down at the phone. “I—I know I said I can get anyone to fall in love with me but this is not what I meant!”
or, the 118 gets dosed with a love potion.

Summary
“Another new guy?” Buck asks, rolling his eyes, “What nightmare have you got for us this time, hmm? They’re already late to the briefing, so it’s not exactly a great start.”
“Actually,” comes a voice from behind them, making Buck startle, “I got here yesterday morning, already been briefed.”
He’s the kind of Hollywood handsome that people generally aren’t in real life, all warm tanned skin and big brown eyes, and a perfectly coiffed sweep of dark brown hair. He’s walking down the main staircase from the floor above, and somehow it looks like a scene from a movie. It honestly makes Buck feel a little sick. Who the fuck does he think he is?

An Inception AU, or, the 118 are a dreamsharing team, and Buck's not convinced they need a new pointman, let alone this guy. Despite himself, they end up real close.

Buck untangles his arms from around Eddie. "I think the mood's gone."
"Oh, c'mon," Eddie whines. "I promise I won't laugh."
"I don't want to do it anymore."
That earns him a raised eyebrow. "You don't want to touch my ass?"
"Eddie—"
"Just touch my ass."
"Stop saying ass."
"Ass, ass, ass, ass, ass—"
Side effects may include laughter during sex, moody teens, competitive streaks a mile wide, and the ability to (somewhat) effectively communicate.
or...Finally together, Buck and Eddie navigate their developing relationship. Eddie’s laughter at the thought of sex and Chris’s passive aggressive mixed signals don’t help a spiraling Buck’s mourning of an imagined loss of friendship. Meanwhile, Eddie comes to terms with his identity and it means for him. Featuring too much information shared during wine nights, zoo trips with a gaggle of kids, and an exhausted Ravi.

Summary
With the shaker hidden from view, the movement of Eddie’s arm is too reminiscent of a certain solo activity that Buck has, regrettably, become all too familiar with.
“Holy fuck” Buck whispers, heat prickling below his belt as thoughts of Eddie, alone in his dingy El Paso bedroom, spring to mind. He’s gonna need another shot.
“What was that?” Eddie asks, a twinkle of amusement in his eyes.
“N-nothing!” Buck shakes his head, hoping the action will restore him to a rational human being who doesn’t think about his best friend jerking off, “Just, when you said you were working at a bar, I didn’t really picture…”
Buck trails off, staring pointedly at the pride flags hanging above Eddie’s head.
“A gay bar?”
“Yeah.”
Or, Buck visits Eddie in El Paso, watches him ride a mechanical bull, and realizes he's in love, not necessarily in that order.
