Summary
Like a vessel at the launch/when its last restraint is gone - Goblin Market, Christina Rossetti
At 11 years old, everyone looked at Neville Longbottom and thought he was weak. Practically a squib. But Theodore Nott looked at him and saw power.
✨ You can’t convince me it’s not canon through year four. ✨
Edited 12/24/22 as part of a series instead of a lone work. Edited 5/8/24 for consistency, grammar, spelling, and flow; none of the story has changed.

Summary
Upon meeting him, Hermione pulls out an entire mallet from her purse and takes a swing at Harry. Harry ducks the hammer then stomps on the girl's foot, and they both go sprinting down the Hogwarts Express, one chasing the other.
Later, with black eyes and bumps and bruises and a newfound appreciation of the word 'bodily harm', the both of them can't help but smile and wonder what this world has in store.
(In which Tom and Jerry find themselves as Harry and Hermione. Not too much is different, but this world is less colorful than their own, so they'll have to make do.)
