Summary
He survived dull salons of the British high society, the English Navy, living in Whitechapel, and he will just as well survive whatever the high seas throw at him. Even if that happens to be no other than Captain Flint and his crew of pirates. Doctor Howell is determined not to become one of them, and so is De Groot, for sure.
