The two had never really gotten along when it came to being civilized.
Then again Cross’s hot temperament and Killer’s uncanny ability to rile him up without even saying a word was often the cause of the banter these two could always easily escalate to heated words or even fists being thrown. Cross hated how Killer seemed so empty, and so lacking of empathy or shame. Killer found himself giddy calling Cross out for all the shit that ever went wrong, and the rage that followed from the guard was always so delicious.
So this time, Cross couldn’t help but find himself wondering, ‘What happened this time? What changed?’
