Jason has recently moved to Manhattan. As expected, he’s been burying himself in work. He’s reached his limit with his old glasses prescription, though, and is finally making himself go and register at an opticians. When he gets to his chosen place, he is greeted by Percy, an optometrist who works there. Jason finds himself curious about this man, and maybe there’s also a mild sense of longing. It would be nice to have a friend in this large, bustling, but lonely city, he thinks.
