He’s reached his limit with his old glasses prescription, though, and is finally making himself go and register at an opticians. When he gets to his chosen place, he is greeted by Percy, an optometrist who works there. Jason finds himself curious about this man, and maybe there’s also a mild sense of longing. It would be nice to have a friend in this large, bustling, but lonely city, he thinks.

Percy has been there, done that, and plans to use his position as Concubine to Emperor Octavian and Apollo's favored to be no more involved in the games than he has to be. Then Nico's name is called.

Percy looked over her shoulders and made eye contact with Nico. He would’ve said Nico looked like he had seen a ghost, but that wasn’t an apt metaphor considering who Nico’s father was. “I’m here to mentor Mr. Nico Di Angelo here.” Percy winked at him before turning around to face the cameras directly.
He smiled and waved, as he always did.

Izuku Midoriya is unlucky, to say the least and life hasn't exactly been kind. Things weren't so bad in the beginning, but once he was diagnosed quirkless, well, it all went to shit. Everyone grew to hate him, even his best friend and own father.
Was it really that impossible to become a hero without a quirk? It doesn't really matter because to Izuku, the term hero is flexible. He'll be his own hero because he's learnt from his own experience, people are selfish and the only one he can rely on is himself.
Left alone to fend for himself in the world, Izuku goes out to change things on his own terms, despite his methods being slightly illegal. Keyword, slightly. It's only illegal if he gets caught, right?

Izuku can deal with broken bones. Broken bones are easy. You go to the nurse’s office, receive treatment for about a week or so, and then, the problem is officially solved. Well, okay, maybe it isn’t that simple. But it’s still much simpler than dealing with broken memories.
Something is wrong with One For All. Very, very wrong. And now, inexplicably, Izuku can’t tell his own memories apart from those of its vestiges, a condition which only seems to be worsening with time.
This wouldn’t be quite so bad on its own, but with All For One suddenly on the loose, and his father returning for the first time in years after months of radio silence… suffice to say, Izuku is a bit overwhelmed. But he can handle it. Or at least that’s what he keeps telling himself.
