A collection of one-shots that are all connected to each other. We follow Apo being mistreated as a vampire between Oakhurst and the castle. Martyn becomes like a brother to her, and Ren has happily taken them under his wing, or paw I should say.
This was written a while ago, when Vampire Smp was still going, but i haven't had the motivation to post it until now. Avid has been replaced by some random girl I made up. I am so mad at him and love Scott and hate what Avid and his partner did to him and countless others.

What if Third Life had ended differently?
“If you think about it, it’s just like a dance.” This forced a laugh out of Grian, causing heat to bloom in Scar’s chest. He hated seeing his companion upset. “Just think about it, G!”
“Scar, what are you talking about?”
“Well, I don’t know too much about dancing, but it’s like there’s one person who leads the dance, and the other who follows. We’re leading the dance and Bdubs is following! It’s like a big fancy ball… But we’re the only people left. I guess it used to be more of a ball, when the others were still alive.”
OR
After Grian's yellow life death, Scar goes to find him and let's Bdubs go and recuperate at the Crastle whilst the other two share their final few hours together.

Grian was halfway back when Mumbo was suddenly at his side, his attention fixed on one of the neighbouring rooftops. Scar had gone equally still, his gaze locked in the same direction before he crossed the distance between them in two strides.
Grian frowned and tried to follow their line of sight, but Scar reached him first, slipping an arm around Grian's shoulders and redirecting him towards the rooftop door."Come on," Scar said, his tone abruptly casual. "Let's go say hi to the cats."

Grian has his clinic, his cats, his wings, and more overprotective friends than he knows what to do with.
Then someone starts watching him, and the past comes looking for him.
