So. The other thing Wei Ying had come to learn over the past two weeks was how his hero-worship (Jiang Cheng’s phrase) of the war hero Hanguang-jun, had changed into a flaming lust for Lan Wangji, only to be rudely surprised to find the lust was just a small subset of a massive and almost overwhelming at times crush on his current night hunting partner. He honestly thought he’d done well, though, keeping all that to himself, and then his big, fat mouth had said, “I want to stay with you,” with the slightest bit of plaintive whine, if Wei Ying was being ungenerous.
OR: A night hunting road trip (that Wei Ying is not supposed to be on) with his childhood hero (who is now a DILF). Absolutely nothing embarrassing or wrong or heartbreaking can happen here. Nope.
