Reo. Barou knows that name. He squints at the purple-haired man at the door. Reo, Reo, Reo… Reo Mikage?
Barou’s eyes widen. Reo Mikage? Like, heir of the Mikage corporation, Reo Mikage?
Oh, he cannot let Nagi fumble this. He has no idea what the Mikage heir is doing at a cafe like this, but he’ll be damned if he lets Nagi turn such a high value client away. Nagi’s not off to a great start, either—what the hell does he think he’s doing, addressing the businessman by his first name with no honorifics?
Barou begins to sidle towards the door, hoping his urgency isn’t obvious. Reo is still gaping at Nagi, and Barou can just see the money disappearing down the drain with every second that passes.
“Hello,” Barou says when he’s close enough with as much courtesy as he can manage. “Welcome to—”
“Nagi,” Reo interrupts, his eyes still on Nagi, “what the fuck are you wearing?”

Summary
Obligatory Bastard Munchen beach episode complete with beach volleyball, ramune, fireworks, and Michael Kaiser's thoughts regarding the difference between Isagi Yoichi on the field and off the field.
"Are you as bad in volleyball as you are in soccer, Yoichi?" Kaiser says, antagonizing as naturally as breathing, but the Yoichi today doesn't rise up to the bait. In fact, Kaiser's still having a hard time wrapping his head around the fact that Yoichi off the field is a totally different creature than the Yoichi he's used to, thanks wholly to the fact that they don't exactly have many chances to interact outside of games.
Which is probably why that Ego freak hatched up this stupid idea of an extracurricular activity.
Well. If it gets him a shirtless Yoichi in beach shorts and an unusually amused smile, then Kaiser can't say he's that upset about it.

Kaiser downed a couple greedy gulps of wine, his red lipstick only faintly staining the edge of the glass. With the alcohol’s acidic burn, the usual script clicked into place—a practiced performance refined over hundreds of beds. A tilt of his body sent a whisper of floral perfume toward the boy. Reaching out, Kaiser traced a single finger across the sharp line of Isagi’s jaw, his voice dropping into the low, predatory purr.
"So... what does a world-class soccer player want with a boy like me?"
Isagi didn't lean in. He blinked, pulling back just an inch with a flush of genuine confusion, his fingers curled around the warmth of his ceramic mug. "Oh, uh... you can stop that," Isagi said, his voice painfully earnest. "I’m not really sure how this works. It’s my first time doing anything like this."
Canon divergence where Michael Kaiser was never scouted by Ray Dark. Kaiser survives by being whatever people pay him to be.

Isagi was beside himself with an explosive combination of curiosity, elation, and wariness. Was he about to see a mermaid or a siren? He’d read about them, but he hadn’t thought that they existed, or that an Anomaly would take their shape.
A large wave crashed on the rocks, and when it receded, it revealed the most beautiful person Isagi had ever laid eyes on lounging at the base of the rocks, framed in sparkling seafoam. His wet hair should have looked ratty and matted from the choppy sea, but it undulated on the surface of the water as if with a life of its own. Isagi tore his gaze away, and that was when he saw his — Kaiser’s — magnificent tail. Countless translucent fins unfurled from the tail, some blue, some gold, with streaks of bright red like warning signs. The waves sent two long, narrow dorsal fins trailing ahead like lures, and the man from the shore followed them right to the indent in the rocks next to Kaiser.

But maybe he believes in something. Maybe he has to, because he’d brought Yoichi Isagi into his life like a self-fulfilling prophecy.
Calling him by his name, his first name, so absorbed in his arrogance that he’d not noticed nor cared that not even his close friends called him by it.
Yoichi. The best in the world, that’s one way to put it, and he couldn’t have been blamed for not knowing, not understanding what he was speaking into existence every time he spoke it.
But also, the first.
And now, name whittled and weathered and worn down until it’s familiar against his tongue over the years he’s called it, the texture of it changed, it sounds different too. Just like his does against Isagi’s, eroded over time until the harsh edges softened, said like a gift.
Said like it’s his.’
