“Mario, remember when you said that I would “always have your full support”? I need you to just listen to what I have to say, without interrupting.” I started and Mario placed a fork down and gestured for me to go ahead. He looked calm but mainly confused; I took a deep breath.
“I have been spending a lot of time on and off with Bowser since the summer, and I’ll be spending more time there now that I am the Courier Of Communications. Now that I have this job, I feel like I have more of a purpose and I’m the happiest I’ve ever been. To be honest though, part of that is because of Bowser. His Kingdom, his castle, his kids, and even him. I realized somewhere along the way that…. I really like Bowser.” I took another deep breath and Mario just looked at me expectantly for a moment. As if he was waiting for me to say something more, and I just gave him the same look back.
