Jim did it. He saved everyone!
There was one tiny, TINY bit he didn't bother thinking about.
He saved everyone, at the cost of his relationships with them. Arcadia no longer feeling like home, he runs away to New Jersey and just might find a new family there, while his old one fights a new enemy and starts to see Jim in a more positive light.

This fic was made because I couldn't find any fics where it shows the aftermath of Jim saving everyone. Also, because I like putting Jim through emotional pain.

In one tapestry, the gods were blessed with a plethora of children and descendants. But with so many blessings, their once joy at their children turned to expectation and ambivalence. The fates were all but tangled in the abundant threads they had at their fingertips to work into their weaves.
Another much more tragic tapestry was threadbare in comparison. The Fates having little to work with. Their work thin and frayed from over worked and broken threads.
Surely no one would notice if some threads went missing from an over full basket?

Things… change.
Ghost supposes that many would probably say that they get better. They do get better, don’t they? Yes, they do. Things change, and they are better. The Infection is gone, and Hollow is safe, and Hornet is happy, and so Ghost is fine. Perhaps they are selfish, and they mourn a dying world that they can never return to, and they are more alone than ever before, but they’ll get over it.
…And it’s not as if anyone will notice if they don’t.
Ghost goes back in time, kills the Radiance, and sets everything right. They tell no one, and do it on their own. It is only after their family is happy, and the kingdom is safe, and the Abyss is soothed to sleep, that they realize just how lonely it is as the last remaining piece of a future never to be.

Summary
Look, being thrown through time and space isn't fun in the first place. But being attacked while already in such a situation? That’s just bad manners. Darkrai would know, of course, suddenly being on the receiving end of just that.
But at least he landed in the past, meaning he has the perfect chance to finally take his revenge on those pesky ‘heroes’ that got him there in the first place. And he has the perfect plan, this time: Disguise himself as a perfectly harmless Pokémon, get close to them, and once they fully trust him… stab them in the back and watch them suffer!
Now, if only he could stop himself from starting to like the once-human… that would be great. And where, exactly, has the original partner Pokémon gone?
(Can technically be read without knowledge of the Mystery Dungeon Series)(was intended to be crack. is now just a story with the occasional humour but also angst and too many words. and a surprising amount of character development for Darkrai. basically the Redemption Arc he never got.)
