“Buck…I’m going to need you to say what you are trying to say clearly, because I’m starting to feel a little jerked around,” Eddie said.
“I’m- I’m sorry. That’s not what I’m trying to do I promise. I want this to work between us I do! But, Tommy said something and I can’t get it out of my head.”
Eddie took a step back, and Buck’s hands fell from his shoulders.
“You talked to Tommy about us?” Eddie couldn’t hide his look of betrayal. “Recently?”
“No, it wasn’t about us. It was about us- I mean Tommy and I. I’m not explaining this well at all!” Buck said exasperated.
Or Buck is feeling insecure about being the first man to date Eddie. Eddie just wants to date his best friend.

Summary
Buck is worried about taking the next step with Eddie, and asks Hen for some advice.
(Basically last night I was wondering how the writers will work this out on the show if and when Buddie becomes canon and decided to write down one possible scenario. This is my first ever real fanfic and completely self-indulgent! lol but if you like it you should let me know because I'm a very insecure individual and thrive on complements. :) Be kind, I am fragile.) -Title is from Sleeping In by All Time Low, because it's been stuck in my head for days.

Buck smooths Eddie’s hair back gently.
“You feeling okay?”
Eddie blinks up at him like he’s trying to focus on a sunrise.
“Buck… I need to tell you something important”Buck bites his lip to keep from laughing.
“I’m right here”
Eddie leans in dramatically.
“I… am gay.”
Chris lets out an ungodly sound and slaps a hand over his mouth.
Buck smiles warmly.
“I know, honey”
Eddie blinks.
Or: Eddie gets his wisdom teeth removed and is very unhinged the whole time.

Summary
His lips are softer than Eddie would have thought. He can feel the scruff of his face, the hair poking back out after having not been shaved in almost 24hours. He brings his hand up to cradle his cheek and runs his thumb over it, resting his other hand on Buck’s hip. He pushes slightly deeper into the kiss, wanting to bury himself in Buck. Convince himself that the man is ok.
And it feels good. Better than any kiss Eddie has ever had. Better than any kiss has any right to feel.
It feels right.
And then Eddie realizes what he’s doing.
And Eddie panics.
He pulls away so fast, Buck almost seeming to follow him, as if searching for the connection again. Which can’t be right.
Eddie just kissed Buck. In front of everyone. And he liked it.
Fuck.
......
Or; Buck hasn't been doing well since Bobby died. It's all he can think about... except for when he is with Eddie.
Eddie's anxiety has only gotten worse. Especially when it comes to Buck. He wants, maybe even needs, to be around him.
And when a fire leads to an accidental first kiss which leads too...
Buck and Eddie will realize its better to speak then to die.
