That lie won’t ever matter in the end because no one will ever want, or need, to see his student id, what really matters right now is that Kokichi is starving and there’s a can of Lima beans in the mess hall kitchen with his name on it, in a metaphorical sense of course, people knowing what he eats is creepy, and putting his name on things is a lesser man’s means of staking claim on them anyway.
Kokichi is better and worse than the lesser man, and that’s only a half lie.

A while ago, the hunters of Ultimates put Hope's Peak's last incoming class into a killing game simulation, in the hopes of converting them to despair before the Future Foundation could get to them. Fortunately, the Despairs were getting sloppy, in the absence of their brilliant leaders. They failed, and those who died in the simulation are now in rehabilitation.
Well, most of them are.
(In this fic, Angie will refer to her god as "God", since I believe Atua was only used in the English translation and I find that kind of uncool of them.)

Kiyotaka Ishimaru is an ordinary teenager. He wakes up at 6 on the dot, washes his face, combs his eyebrows, and does a series of aerobic warm-up exercises until 6:45. At this point he departs for the dining hall, eats a modest breakfast (he has been learning to like natto lately), and studies in his room until it’s time for the first lesson of the day.
He has several weaknesses, he admits this, but one more glaring than others: he is unable to socialize effectively. To attempt to resolve this conundrum, he turns to several of his classmates for advice.

Summary
Mondo still really dislikes Kiyotaka Ishimaru, even as the kid tries his damnedest to tutor Mondo and help him get his grades up. Mondo thought they’d reached a stalemate of sorts. However, when an argument erupts between them, Mondo challenges Ishimaru to the only thing he can prove his sheer will and perseverance through: an endurance contest in the school’s sauna.
Things are revealed about Ishimaru that Mondo never would have guessed to be true, and a newfound camaraderie arises from bonding over their similar (yet still so different) pasts.

Out of all the things Kiyotaka hates, drugs are nearly at the top of his list. (Geniuses and his grandfather fight for the number one spot) He’s seen the videos in class, of hazy-eyed boys slumped in bathroom stalls, mouths drooling spit with skinny bodies shuddering on the verge of hell. He’s only ever caught one person before, and his vision went so red with fury that he almost slapped Kuwata in the face for trying ecstasy in the school bathroom once. He marched up to the principal's office with a hand dragging Kuwata by the ear, teary-eyed with something far more intense than hatred brooding in his gut. But this somehow, instead of making him shake with rage, twists his throat with misery. He could excuse alcohol (barely), tattoos (hardly), and gangs (how did this friendship even happen in the first place?), but drugs would always come from the Devil. It was the easiest way to betray the life your parents blessed you with, and the fastest way to throw it away. It was not only dishonorable, but idiotic.
Or transactional make-out sesh’s for tutoring turn into one thing or another; Mondo’s shitty apartment is the embodiment of grief and Kiyotaka can’t acknowledge why he's so scared of sex
