He was a beta. He was normal. Barely any scent, no cycles, no mating instincts. Just plain old normal.
At least, that’s what he thought.
He thought he was normal.
But instead, Dazai is currently curled up on his single mattress in the shipping container that he calls home as he sweats profusely and struggles through cramps, pains, and the desire to nest. His mattress has a single thin blanket, which apparently does not satisfy the omega instincts trying to claw their way out of his mind. He was so close, too; days away from his 17th birthday, the birthday that would have officially made him a beta.
Hope is a killer disease.

Khun prepares to face the world.
"“Everyone,” he called out, in a calm voice that carried all the way to the opposite wall. “Could I have your attention for a minute?”
All the bodies stopped moving, turning toward him, a dozen gazes snapping to his, surprised, intrigued, waiting. Khun felt the nerves create a tightness in his throat, but he swallowed around it. His palms were moist, curled into fists, but he forced his articulations to relax, forced his hands to go lax.
Once he knew he had all the attention on him, he sat down. He lowered himself in front of the tea table, slowly, until he was kneeling on the carpet. A silent invitation for them to gather in the living room, on the other side of the table. He looked front, at the rest of his friends, grave, and spoke solemnly.
“I…”
He pressed his lips together, pushing through the mess of his emotions to continue.
“There is something that I need to tell you.”"
Or: Should the Hypotheticals become the Inevitable. What if Khun spoke to his team instead of keeping it in.

Dazai is going to Hogwarts—which is crazy because he doesn’t have magic. He has a nullifying ability, for goodness’ sake! Not that it matters. Dazai is still willing to stick around and cause trouble before he gets shipped back home and stuck in his room again.
And this Quirrell guy is definitely up to something. So that’s a good place to start.
