Summary
Spencer Reid is a genius to put it simply. With an IQ of 180, an incredible reading speed of 20,000 words per minute, 3 PhDs, and 2 BAs, he's easily always the smartest person in the room. However, all the knowledge in the world can't save him from his own memories. The kidnapping. The torture. The Dilaudid. Tobias. He tried his best to stay clean, to stop the drug use, but constantly found himself giving into the temptation crawling beneath his skin. With Gideon gone, he no longer has his safe space and further spirals down into a deep, dark depression, hidden by the simple mask of a false smile. At this rate, he fears nobody can save him and he starts blocking everyone out. Derek Morgan notices his odd behavior and tries his best to help. Could Morgan be the savior Reid was needing?

Summary
Something had been off with Reid lately; Morgan was sure of that. What he wasn’t sure of was why? Every time he tried to get the man to talk to him, he was brushed off or flat out ignored, and Morgan was starting to get frustrated. Today he was going to talk to Reid, and not let him leave unless he got a real explanation for his hostility and paranoid behaviour. But now as he sat at his desk, he couldn’t help but worry for the man as he glanced back at the clock – ten minutes late. Reid hadn’t been this late to work in a long time.
